Usage

dhcpbootp property

Return the ETHERnet:DHCPbootp command.

Description
  • This command sets the network configuration method to DHCP (that is ON) or static IP address (that is OFF).

  • AUTOmatic specifies that the instrument’s IP address, subnet mask and gateway settings will be received from a DHCP server on the local network.
  • MANual specifies that the Ethernet settings will be configured manually. When setting to manual mode, the following commands must also be specified;ETHERnet:IPADDress,ETHERnet:GATEWay:IPADDress, and ETHERnet:SUBNETMask. All the settings must be sent in a single string in order for the oscilloscope to save the setting. If sending only ETHERnet:NETWORKCONFig MANual, the user interface will reset back to auto mode. Since the Apply Changes button in the user interface does not have an associated command, sending the whole string will be required in order to update the static IP address when using manual network configuration mode.

ping property

Return the ETHERnet:PING command.

Description
  • Sends a ping packet to the instrument gateway and sets the status accordingly.
